Installation Electrician/Maintenance Electrician - Advanced Apprenticeship - Level 3

Overview

This NVQ qualification is designed for students employed as an apprentice within the Electrotechnical industry. Students will gain the skills and knowledge to carry out job roles and responsibilities associated with the installation and maintenance of Electrotechnical systems. On successful completion students will have achieved the industry desired level of competence required to carry out the specific roles.

Entry requirements

Students should have a level 2 qualification in English and Maths (GCSE grade 4 or above, or functional skills).

How long is the course?

3 years part time (1 day per week day release at college).

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed through online tests, portfolio of evidence, assignments and practical testing.

What does the course lead to?

Our qualifications can lead directly into employment, offering students the chance to develop their skills and knowledge to a high standard recognised by the industry. The qualification contribute knowledge, understanding, and practical skills regarding Installing and Maintaining Electrotechnical Systems. Candidates will have learnt the required skills and knowledge to demonstrate their occupational competence in the workplace. After successful completion of the course learners could progress onto a HNC course or Degree programme at university within either an electrical focus or management.
