Staff remote connection
To improve security, the college now requires you to connect to our systems via a VPN before connecting to RAS.
Please note the step by step guide below is for personal devices only. College-issued devices are already set up to connect to the VPN.

- Download the remote desktop connection file here and then run the file, following the on-screen prompts.
If you are using a Mac, you will need to download Microsoft Remote Desktop from the Mac App Store.
There are helpful instructions available here as well as a brief video guide.
Step 3 - Log in
- Username: enter it as follows: idnumber@westnotts.ac.uk; e.g. if your college username is joh123456 then you should enter joh123456@westnotts.ac.uk
- Password: Please enter your normal college password.
