Staff Remote Connection
For access to your WNC home and team drives and the software you use in college, e.g. ProSol, ProMonitor, Staffnet please use a remote desktop.
To access a remote desktop please download this file to your desktop.
There is a help sheet available here and also a brief video guide available.
Double click the file and follow the onscreen prompts. Once you have this file you can use it again without the need to re download.
For your username, you should enter it as follows: idnumber@westnotts.ac.uk;
for instance, if your college username is joh123456 then you should enter joh123456@westnotts.ac.uk. Your password is the same as your
normal college password.
Please note: to log off from the remote desktop right click on the start button and choose sign out.
Mac users will need to use Microsoft Remote Desktop instead. This is available from the Mac App Store.
