As part of the learning company, students of all levels are given the opportunity to carry out repairs, maintenance and valets on real cars – these range from non-runners picked up at auction and needing a full revamp, to cars brought in by real customers (including the college principal, Andrew Cropley!).
Under the guidance of experienced teachers, you will have the chance to diagnose and try out all sorts of different types of repairs, from tyre changes to clutch replacements and full MOTs, with the tasks getting more advanced as you progress.
Students are instrumental in every part of the process, from designing their own invoice templates, to checking in customers and operating the WNC Autocare email address. You will see what it is really like to work in the automotive industry, while honing your skills under the watchful eye of expert teachers.
As well as building a solid repertoire of automotive experience and technical expertise, you will also develop customer care, teamwork and problem-solving skills that will serve you in a wide range of different roles in the motor vehicle industry.
