Applied Science (Diploma) - Level 3

Overview

IMPORTANT NOTICE

This course may either be delivered as part of our 2+1 offer which must be studied alongside two other A Level courses OR studied independently and be equivalent to studying three A Level courses. This is due to the college currently waiting on the outcome of the government's ‘pause and review’ of the Level 3 qualification reform. This may result in a changes to qualifications offered at Level 3 for academic year 2025/2026. If this course is affected, the college will make changes to our offer to enable similar outcomes for progression to higher education, higher-level apprenticeships or skilled employment.

For more details, please contact our enquiries line on 0808 100 3626.

This two-year course offers an alternative route for those passionate about pursuing science-related careers, catering to those who prefer a hands-on approach to learning over A Levels.

Over the duration of this course, you will learn the fundamentals of science – Biology, Chemistry and Physics - as well as the principles of scientific investigation, including your own research project. You will develop a wide range of practical skills in all three disciplines.
