CIPD Certificate in HR Practice - Level 3
Overview
The Certificate in HR Practice is a Level 3 qualification which provides a firm foundation in all areas of HR, as well as an understanding of HR in a business context. It will help learners to develop practical, relevant skills and become more effective in the workplace.
Foundation level qualifications are perfect if you want to acquire a wide range of relevant practical skills in Human Resources and development.
Foundation level qualifications are for those who:
- are aspiring to, or embarking on, a career in Human Resources
- are working in the field of HR in a support role and wish to develop their knowledge and skills
- have the responsibility for HR/L&D activities and decisions within an orgnisation without a specialist function.
Entry requirements
You will be required to have a successful interview with the course leader.
Start dates and fees
On top of the course fees, you will be required to join The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). A joining fee and membership fee will be payable.
How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed by a mixture of skills based assignments, written assignments and a personal development plan.
What does the course lead to?
Level 5 Certificate in Human Resource Management.
What will I study?
Course modules, which are approximately 6 weeks each:
- developing yourself as an effective HR practitioner (runs throughout the course)
- understanding organisations and the role of HR
- recording, analysing and using HR information
- resourcing talent
- supporting good practice in performance management and reward
- supporting change in organisations
- managing employee relations
Study programmes
It is an entry requirement for some courses to have gained GCSEs A*-C in English and maths (see entry requirements). If the entry requirements to a course do not require A*-C in these subjects, and you haven’t already gained GCSEs A*-C in English and maths before joining us, you will continue to study English and maths as part of your programme and take appropriate qualifications in these subjects with the aim of achieving A* to C grade. In addition, to help you gain essential skills for employment, every student aged under 19 and studying a full-time course at college will take part in our study programmes alongside their main subject qualification.
