After being awarded a BA (Honours) degree in English Studies from The University of Huddersfield, Michael started his media career when he got a job writing content for the Channel 4 comedy series, ‘The Richard Blackwood Show’. He then moved to London and was employed by Sky where he first worked for the in house EPG guide before moving on to Sky Sports News as a Production Junior, writing scripts, booking guests and cutting sports news packages.

Outside of college Michael works as a Camera Operator and Floor Manager on ‘BBC East Midlands Today’ and ‘Sunday Politics’ as well as working freelance as a Camera Operator, Editor and Producer.

Michael is a skilled and fully-qualified (Cert Ed.) tutor and assessor, with 16 years’ experience across the Further and Higher education sectors.
