Bursaries
There are two different bursaries available to adult learners aged 19+ to help with education costs. Bursary payments do not have to be repaid.
19+ Student Support Fund
If you have an annual gross household income below £29,000, you could be entitled to £50 a month in attendance-related bursary payments. In addition to this, you may be able to receive help with OFSTED registered childcare costs.
Advanced Learner Loan Bursary Fund
If you have an Advanced Learner Loan and an annual gross household income below £29,000 you could be entitled to £50 a month in attendance related bursary payments. In addition to this, you may be able to receive help with OFSTED registered childcare costs.
Please note - we can only process your bursary application once you have enrolled on to a course and it may take up to eight weeks to hear back from us.

GCSE courses
If you have been a UK resident for 3 years and not already achieved GCSE at Grade C or above, you will not have to pay any tuition fees.
Childcare for adult learners
You may be able to get help with the cost of childcare while you attend your course.
Free college meals
If you are aged between 19-24 on 31 August 2022 and subject to an Education of Health Care Plan (EHC Plan), you may also be entitled to free college meals.
