Apprenticeship summary

This role will support the administrative delivery of the Retail and Management apprenticeships and projects relating to Adult learning. Working with the Centre Coordinator, you will be the first line of contact for both internal and external enquires, maintaining databases and ensuring all risk assessments are in place.

Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 16:30, Friday 08:30 - 16:00

Duties will include:

  • To provide clerical and administrative support within the Retail and Management Apprenticeships to a high standard of accuracy and presentation, to include general correspondence and reports, whilst undertaking efficient execution of general office duties
  • To be a contact for learners and employers in line with the apprenticeship and Adult funding guidelines and procedures answering queries
  • To maintain all associated documentation including risk assessments, files and records and make available for inspection or audit if requested to do so
  • To monitor and record learners’ progress in work placement, against Awarding Body criteria. Support learners in implementing and recording work placement evidence
  • Maintain an up to date database of potential work experience placements for learners, utilising appropriate information technology
  • Using the appropriate method ensure all learner registration and achievements are entered effectively and within appropriate timescales to achieve timely frameworks
  • To maintain strict confidentiality and discretion at all times
  • Support the team in arranging end point assessment for apprenticeships
  • Support the adult training delivery communicating with learners, employers and local job centres

Other Responsibilities:

  • To uphold and promote College policies and procedures, promoting those specifically applicable to this area of work, including the Equality & Diversity policies and procedures and attend training as requested
  • To apply the college’s own safeguarding policy and practices and attend training as requested
  • To keep up to date, so far as necessary, for the efficient executing of the job, with new legislation, procedures and techniques and attend relevant mandatory training
  • To be conversant with and participate in activities and developments at college, regional and national level which are relevant to the post
  • To present and promote an appropriate public image in representing the college
  • To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with the post
