We are on the lookout for an I.T Support Apprentice to support the I.T Manager in developing the company systems whilst also supporting users with day-to-day management of computers, printers, and other office equipment. You will work towards a Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship standard.

Responsibilities will include:

  • To diagnose and resolve software and hardware related incidents, including operating systems across a range of software applications
  • To assist all users with any logged IT related incident when called upon
  • To take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary
  • Maintain excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organisation
  • To be a highly motived team player with the skills and ability to manage changing priorities
  • Window server and active directory administration
  • Maintain the company IT inventory and software licences
  • Setup and configuration of mobile devices
  • Hardware/software installation and support
  • To create, maintain and publish relevant support documentation in order to assist all users in the quick resolution of their incidents and service requests and enable users to become more self-sufficient
  • Updating systems when required
  • Provide timely and sufficient information and instruction to deputies to ensure work and quality can be maintained during absence
  • Record and report accurate information as required
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills
  • Always promote the company in a positive light especially during contact with outside agencies
  • Perform any other duties as reasonably required by your Manager or a Director
