T Level Foundation Year - Health and Science - Level 2
Overview
Are you passionate about working with people in the health field? This course is the perfect stepping stone for anyone interested in pursuing a career the health sector such as nursing, paramedic, or therapies. It will prepare you to progress to the T Level in Health - Level 3.
You' will have the opportunity to study health related topics such as science and person-centred practice and understand how health has an impact on the body. In addition to this you will have opportunity to look at a variety of health conditions and how common they are and the research and data associated with these conditions. Plus, with the added support of GCSE English Language, Maths and Science (biology) lessons, you'll have the chance to strengthen your qualifications to a grade 5 or above for progression onto the T Level in Health - Level 3 the year after.
On top of that, you'll learn from expert guest speakers, take part in exciting trips, and be supported by experienced T Level teachers with clinical backgrounds who are dedicated to helping you succeed.
By the end of this course, you’ll be well-prepared to take your next step towards a career health by applying for our T Level in Health - Level 3.

What will I study?
Outcome 1 (O1)
- Apply knowledge and understanding of scientific theories, concepts and principles to health and science context.
Outcome 2A (O2A)
- Provide person centred care to support the health and wellbeing of individuals.
Outcome 3 (O3)
- Analyse information and data to highlight health and science issues.
You will also boost your GCSE English Language, Maths and Science (biology) and learn essential study techniques to help you progress onto the T Level in Health - Level 3 course.
Entry requirements
This course is only available to 16-18 year olds.
- Five GCSEs at grade 3-9 including English Language, Maths and Science.
Study programmes - essential skills for employment
If you're a student between the ages of 16 and 18 (or 19 to 25 with an EHC Plan) we want to make sure you have the best possible chances of landing an awesome job once you finish college.
Students who haven't achieved a grade 4/C in GCSE maths or English to continue studying these subjects while you're here with us. By doing so, you'll be building a strong foundation of skills that will significantly boost your employability in the future.
Think of it as a chance to supercharge your knowledge and abilities. You'll be equipped with the tools necessary to tackle the world beyond college with confidence. Plus, we'll be right here to support you every step of the way.
In addition, to help you gain essential skills for employment, all students aged 19 and under and studying a full-time course with us will take part in our study programmes.
