Preparation for Study (Mansfield Education Hub) - Entry Level 3 to Level 1
Overview
Our Mansfield Education Hub is a small and supportive college located in Mansfield. We have a passionate team of teaching and support staff who want to help you grow, achieve and succeed.
The hub offers personal and social development courses to act as a stepping stone into apprenticeships or vocational learning. Students will work towards a level 1 qualification with opportunities for volunteering and vocational tasters alongside English and maths all designed to develop personal skills and resilience.
We welcome applications throughout the year for young people aged 16 to 18 (or 19 to 25 with an EHC Plan) to join our Preparation for Study Learning Programme.
Students who haven't achieved a GCSE grade 4-9 English or Maths will study these subjects while you're here with us. By doing so, you'll be building a strong foundation of skills that will significantly boost your employability in the future.
Think of it as a chance to supercharge your knowledge and abilities. You'll be equipped with the tools necessary to tackle the world beyond college with confidence. Plus, we'll be right here to support you every step of the way.
At the end of the course, you will achieve:
- GCSE/Functional Skills English*
- GCSE/Functional Skills Maths*
- Level 1 AIM Certificate/Award* in Personal and Social Development Skills.

You will have the opportunity to start to learn in a vocational area once you are ready, have support to build a CV and undertake volunteering and enterprise activities.

If you're a student between the ages of 16 and 18 (or 19 to 25 with an EHC Plan) we want to make sure you have the best possible chances of landing an awesome job once you finish college.
