Body Massage (Fast Track) - Level 3

Overview

This course will help you develop the skills required in providing body massage treatments.

You will learn about the classical Swedish massage movements and will be required to adapt massage techniques to suit individual client needs.

You will also learn about health, safety, hygiene and client care.


Start dates and fees

The course fee can either be paid in full or in four instalments.

If you wish to pay in instalments, you will be required to pay 25% (£235.25) of the total fee on the day of enrolment and a Direct Debit mandate would then need to be completed to enable the college to collect a further three monthly payments. The payments will be taken on the date you choose on the Direct Debit mandate form.

All hair and beauty courses require the purchase of a specific kit and uniform. It is your responsibility to finance these purchases independently, as there is no funding currently available. * If you are aged 19-23 and studying your first Level 3 course then that course may be free. Please contact us for more details. If you are aged 19 or over and either studying a second Level 3 course or qualifying Level 4, 5 or 6 course you may be able to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover the costs.

Entry requirements

A minimum of a Level 1 functional skills in English or a Level 2 beauty therapy qualification.


How long is the course?

15 weeks.


What does the course lead to?

This course will prepare you for employment as a massage therapist. You will also be eligible to join a professional association and gain insurance.

Career opportunities as a beauty/massage therapist exist in a variety of contexts, including:

  • Working in commercial beauty salons/spas/cruise liners
  • Working in a retail concession in a department store
  • Working independently/self-employed/mobile/home-based settings.
