Why choose sport at West Notts?

The Academy of Sport

Working in partnership with elite clubs, local primary schools and organisations, the college’s Academy of Sport is designed to help you excel in sport and ensure you are work-ready, by providing you with the skills and confidence you need to excel in your chosen career.

Train using industry-standard equipment

Our sports students train hard and work in the college’s sports hall, built to Sport England standards. Students may also go off-campus to local gyms to train using current industry-equipment.

Practice with real clients

Students develop their practical skills by practicing their newly-learnt techniques with real clients. Previous sports students have held fitness classes in the local community, and worked with nursery-age pupils to develop their fitness.

Enjoy extra-curricular activities

Sports activities outside college allow students to build their skills and networks. Students can enjoy a range of extra-curricular sporting activities with college, from fitness classes to ice skating and swimming. For more information, visit our sports page.
