18th Edition IEE Regulations

Overview

This course is aimed at those who need to update their knowledge to the current British Standards in Electrical Installation and Wiring Practice to BS7671:2018.

You will gain an in-depth knowledge of the changes from the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations to the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.


Start dates and fees

Costs

  • £80 for all progressing learners who have studied at West Notts College within the last 12 months.
  • £450 for any new learners with a discount for 2 or more learners joining from the same company (contact us to find out more).

What will I study?

This course updates existing 17th edition electricians up to the new 18th edition qualification.

  • Part 6 Inspection & Testing

Entry requirements

  • This course is aimed at those who have previous knowledge and experience of electrical work and installations, and those who currently work as electricians.
  • You must also hold a Level 2 qualification in Electrical Installations.

How long is the course?

Three weeks, two evening sessions per week (Tuesday and Wednesday 5-8pm)


How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed by a multiple choice online examination (City and Guilds 2382) and will receive your result at the end of the 2-hour exam.


What does the course lead to?

Upon completion of this course you would be able to progress onto the City and Guilds 2395 Periodic Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations course.
