Biography

Scott works as a sports teacher at the college who prides himself on delivering active, enjoyable lessons with purpose, encouraging creativity to develop an enthusiasm for sport, learning and thinking.

Scott holds the FdSc in Sports Coaching and Primary PE Specialism amongst other vocational and academic courses at HE level, which he feels helps to provide students with the understanding, experience and expectations of learning at this level.

Coaching is Scott’s specialist subject, having delivered over 500 hours of sessions within the community, in elite environments and overseas. He has accumulated various qualifications along the way, such as the UEFA B in Football, L3 Multi-skills delivery, and Association of PE L5 in Primary PE Specialism.

They have enabled Scott to deliver tag rugby sessions in the community, multi-skills sessions for charities based in South Africa and football sessions in the USA. In addition to coaching, Scott has a keen passion for the psychology of sport and its athletes alongside nutrition and strength and conditioning.

He enjoys an array of sporting activities from badminton, to football, cricket and ice hockey, even recently starting golf!
