Biography

Emma is the departments singing teacher and takes responsibility for the vocal development of the dance and musical theatre students. She is a semi-professional musician and a qualified teacher and holds a Post Graduate Certificate of Education.

Emma has many years of experience teaching and managing performing arts departments. Emma has worked in primary schools, special education schools, and now further education and runs her own performing arts business. Emma has a fantastic network and regularly collaborates with other professionals within the industry.

Emma has had over 12 years’ experience of delivering GCSE, BTEC and A level. She has inspired students and created many shows as well as providing extracurricular opportunities for students. Emma works collaboratively with both students and staff to produce high quality productions.

Prior to qualifying as a teacher, Emma worked as a singer, performing up and down the country, playing in big bands, brass bands, and orchestras. From studying Music and Education at college, Emma went on to gain a BA Hons Degree in Music with a specialism in opera.

Emma has a strong commitment to provide young people with a stimulating environment, which ensures both their aspirations and confidence are raised to their full potential.
