Biography

Tom’s journey in the culinary world began at West Notts College, where he honed his skills and passion for cooking. After completing his studies, Tom was selected to start his career at the prestigious Café Royal in London. He then gained invaluable experience working in several rosetted French restaurants and a 5 Red Star hotel before settling in the picturesque Cotswolds.

For many years, Tom served as the head chef at the Three Ways House Hotel, home of the famous Pudding Club. This role opened numerous opportunities including working in Japan, making TV appearances, and launching a range of puddings in Waitrose.

Throughout his career, Tom has worked for Bupa and even owned his own restaurant. His diverse experiences have given him a comprehensive knowledge of food, from fine dining at Michelin star level to brasserie and mass food production.

At the college, Tom primarily delivers Level 2 NVQ Professional Cookery qualifications in both workshops and classrooms, as well as in the Refined Restaurant, providing students with an authentic industry experience.
