Biography

Andrew was initially an electrical Installation student at West Notts College’s Station Park campus when it first opened its doors in 2008 to the construction industry. Andrew excelled at work and college in the electrical Installation fields and was nominated for student of the year and came ‘runner-up’. After five years in Installation and completing an electrical/mechanical HNC and HND at the college’s Sovereign Way campus, Andrew expanded these skills into engineering, working for a local manufacturing plant on an exponential learning curve of control and automation, also whilst completing a degree in engineering management with the University of Lincoln.

Andrew now works back at the college on the construction and built environment and civil engineering courses, taking a lead organisational role within the department by means of product management protocols. Andrew completed a PGCE in 2021 and is now looking to progress onto a full Master’s Degree for Business professionals whilst developing the recourses and contacts within CatBE department.

Andrew is a sports enthusiast and will take part in almost any activity proposed. Downhill mountain biking at the weekend, martial arts and running in the week, as well as road cycling and 5-a-side football when possible. Nothing is more important than family to Andrew and so often he goes out for meals, games of pool and snooker and visiting theme parks.
