Biography

Griff was a student at West Notts College in 2001 where he completed the GNVQ Intermediate in Information Technology. Realising that office work was not for him, Griff started work labouring in the construction trade for advanced brickwork. Griff’s work ethic impressed his employer and gained him a chance to become an apprentice bricklayer studying again at West Notts on a three-year apprenticeship programme.

Griff became a self-employed bricklayer, subcontracting for large company’s working within the commercial and industry sector. He spent 17 years working in the construction industry before returning to college, this time as a trainer in brickwork.

Currently Griff works with Entry and Level one students participating in enrichment, fundraising and trips. He is always smiling and gives his time to help learners.
