Biography
Kimberley completed her A-Levels, studying history, business, media studies and sociology before studying a law degree at Nottingham Trent University. Kimberley specialised in business law at university. Whilst working as an ambassador for the university, which involved outreach to local schools and colleges, she decided to become a Further Education teacher. Kimberley continued to work as an ambassador whilst also working as a teaching associate at Ashfield Comprehensive School, supporting A-Level and SEN students.
After graduating, Kimberley completed her PGCE with Nottingham Trent University with her placement at North Nottinghamshire College, where she was trained to teach BTEC Business Level 3.
Kimberley began working for West Nottinghamshire College in 2017 as a business teacher, in which time she has supported all levels of learners to progress to their next steps. Kimberley has made key achievements such as organising multiple trips to business conferences at Disneyland Paris as well as a trip to Ingoldmells where learners pitched re-branding ideas to the chief operating officer of Fantasy Island. Kimberley has supported with the organisation of regional business competitions in which WNC business students have won impressive awards. In 2020, Kimberley became the programme area leader of business.
In her spare time, Kimberley has a small business making and selling soy candles and takes a keen interest in how businesses can improve their sustainability.
