Biography
Kerry completed a BA Hons in Graphic Design specialising mainly in branding, editorial and printmaking, achieving an upper second class degree. This was closely followed by a PGCE in Further Education. Kerry then began her career with Teacher UK. To hone her skills, Kerry undertook a range of work experience placements, with Mansfield Museum and Personna International Ltd completing graphic design and teaching work.
Alongside teaching, Kerry has continued to work as a freelance graphic designer, for small independent companies through the website Up Work. Additionally, Kerry has created work for the Ashfield Gala Charity and the local Mansfield Roller Derby team, designing their branding, promotional materials and merchandise. Alongside working as a freelance designer, Kerry has embarked on her own personal ventures, producing and selling stationary to retailers that support independent artists and designers, including Watchthisspace in Leicester, PureNChic (an online retailer) and Arts Desire in Norwich. Kerry has previously been a member of the Green Door printmaking studio in Derby and still participates in their annual print exhibitions.
Kerry has nearly a decade of experience in further education teaching graphic design, printmaking, contextual studies, art history and general art and design practice, from Level 1 through to Level 4. Kerry has taught adult learners in the community and is a multi-skilled practitioner with extensive experience with software packages such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
