Biography
David Davies is one of the teams fully qualified art teachers specialising in a broad range of art disciplines including fine art painting, graphic design and digital image making. He studied an HND in Visual Communication at The University of Central England, BA (hons) in Graphic Design at Staffordshire University, PGCE at Sheffield Hallam University and an MA in Graphic Design Theory and Practice at Nottingham Trent University.
In addition to 20 year’s experience of teaching art and design courses from level 1 to 6 he has over 15 years of experience working as a graphic designer within the creative industries. David is also a practicing fine artist and has shown his paintings at several exhibitions in several countries including US, Croatia and Sweden.
David delivers on levels 1, 2 and 3, teaching students graphic design, digital image making, painting, drawing, mixed media and historical and contextual studies. He is a multi-skilled practitioner with a wealth of experience in fine art painting and graphic design. David continues to hone his skills through his own professional practice as a fine artist and graphic designer. The students benefit directly from his past experience as a teacher and his time working within the creative industries.
