Biography

Polly was brought up surrounded by animals on a mixed livestock family farm and her love for animals was established here.

Polly went on to pursue a career initially in theatre and performance, but her love for animals never disappeared and over 20 years ago she retrained to follow her first love of animals.

Polly has worked at the college for nearly 20 years and has seen the Animal Care Department grow from a single Entry 3 course to introducing at first, Level 1, then Level 2, then Level 3 and now the new T Level in 2024.

Her favourite animal is a goat, even teaching goat yoga in her free time! When she is not at work (or with goats) she is out walking or cycling in the countryside.
