Easter delights for children's ward

Posted: 14 April 2021

A great big generous, chocolatey gesture arrived for youngsters on the children’s ward at King’s Mill Hospital last week.

This was thanks to the college’s childcare students who collected almost 50 Easter eggs before their half-term break.

Enrichment coach Eleanor O’Hara delivered the eggs on behalf of the Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education learners and met with play specialist Claire Roberts and staff nurse Maria Middleton who passed on the kind donation to the children spending time on the ward.

Eleanor said: “I’d like to say a very big thank you to everyone who donated an egg, as this will have put a smile on the children’s faces who will be spending Easter in hospital this year.”
