Overview
The centre has been designed to accommodate traditional and industry-leading technology, where the next generation of engineering students can hone their skills. The centre includes a new suite of advanced machinery and tools including a CNC machining centre with ABB robot arm, CNC lathes, milling machines, CNC mini mills, and a CNC lathe with Fanuc robot arm. These complement an already expansive range of tools and systems including a laser cutter, hydraulic and pneumatic training rigs, 3D printer and a virtual welding system.
This expansion of capacity, curriculum and cutting-edge equipment will ensure students have access to the most up-to-date equipment and skills to ensure they become skilled engineers and manufacturers both locally and beyond.
