Funding your course

Information about fees

Fees and funding for university-level courses are different to the other types of courses we offer at the college.

Student loans are still available. Loans are not repaid until you earn over £26,575 per year and student loan interest rates are low. Most repayments start as low as £3 per month and stop if your salary ever falls below £26,575 or you become unemployed.

At Vision West Nottinghamshire College, we have taken the decision to keep our fees as low as possible.

Our fees for 2020/2021 courses are £3,800 per year for part-time courses and £6,165 per year for full-time courses.

This is significantly less than other colleges or universities who charge up to £9,250 per year.

For students to be eligible for funding from Student Finance England, they must be studying on an eligible course at a provider registered with the Office for Students (OfS). The OfS is the independent regulator for Higher Education in England.

Student loans

Most students choose to take out a student loan when choosing Higher Education to pay for course fees. These loans mean students do not need to pay anything upfront and will only repay loans when earning £26,575 or more.

Repayments for loans are based on income, not how much is initially borrowed.

Repayments will be 9% of a graduate’s income over £26,575 (for example, those earning £28,800 will repay £16 a month).

Students paying for fees with a student loan will need to apply for one as soon as possible, to ensure funds are in place at the start of the course. Students DO NOT need to wait for a confirmed offer.
