Professional Cookery Pathway

Level 1

Diploma in Skills for Employment and Further Learning in Hospitality and Catering

In this course you will train in industry-standard kitchens to prepare you for a real working environment. You will study theory and practical work, related to food preparation and cooking, food and drink service, healthy eating and food safety.

Technical Certificate or Diploma in Professional Cookery

This course is aimed at those who want to develop their cookery skills and pursue a career as a professional chef. Here you’ll learn many cooking techniques such as boiling, baking, stewing, whilst learning how to correctly use a knife and maintain kitchen equipment.

Level 3

Diploma in Professional Cookery

On this course you will study a range of practical and theoretical units to develop your skills and prepare you for employment in establishments which offer fine dining and complex menus. Upon completion of this course you will have the knowledge and experience to work in the catering business. You’ll learn new cooking techniques, such as working with fish and shellfish, poultry, chocolate products.

Food and Drink Service Pathway

Level 1
