The Supported Internship is a supported employment programme designed for young people with additional educational needs and an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) in their last year of college. The course is designed to allow learners to gain confidence and employability skills ready for the workplace.

What to expect
Make your way to the main reception of our Derby Road campus where you will be greeted by our friendly staff. You will then be invited to listen to a presentation, which will include:
- Meet the supported internship team
- Information about our supported internship programmes
- Hear from our current employers
- Hear lived experience from our interns
- Understanding what we expect of students and what they can expect from the course
- Guidance on the support available on the course, including travel training
- Information about what to expect between now and September
- A chance to ask any questions at the end of the evening
- An opportunity to apply for academic year 2025/2026
