TEF Silver logzo

We are delighted to announce that the Office for Students (OfS) has awarded us with a silver rating in the 2018 Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) awards.

This makes us the only college in Nottinghamshire to be recognised as part of the scheme, which rates the quality of HE provision by universities and colleges.

In particular, the award highlighted:
  • The college’s commitment to the development of employability and transferable skills, with course design and assessment practices tailored to ensure all students acquire knowledge, skills and understanding that are highly valued by employers.
  • The college’s variety of measures designed to secure high levels of engagement and commitment to learning from students who are at risk of not continuing their course or achieving positive outcomes.
  • The college’s positive learning environment including the use of high-quality facilities and staff development.

In June 2015, the college successfully underwent QAA HE Review, and the final report was published on 3 September 2015. The college action plan outlines how we are responding to the report’s recommendations.
