Wood Occupations - Site/Bench Diploma NVQ (parts 1 and 2) - Level 3

Overview

You'll study a range of modules that include the following:

  • Conform to general workplace safety
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships
  • Manufacture routine products
  • Manufacture complex shaped products

You will also be required to undertake Functional Skills in Maths and English.

Entry requirements

Applicants with trade experience or a relevant Level 2 Construction Diploma may apply.

How long is the course?

One year.

How will I be assessed?

You will be expected to collect work-based evidence and photos for a portfolio, which will enable you to achieve the NVQ.

What does the course lead to?

Upon successful completion you could gain employment as a professional carpenter/joiner.

What can I go on to study?

You could progress to the AVCE (Advanced Vocational Certificate in Education) Built Environment course.
