Want 2 Work in Education (Online)

Overview

Are you passionate about working in education?

You will be given an understanding of safeguarding children in education, managing challenging behaviour, equality and diversity in education, parental responsibilities in education and more.

The Want 2 Work series is for people who are currently looking for entry-level employment in industry.

The topics within this course have been carefully selected to give you awareness of some of the key areas within education and will give you basic knowledge that can be discussed in an interview or prepare you for further study.

Distance learning courses enable you to undertake learning in a flexible way; you can study around your existing commitments and responsibilities, and it is great for developing your confidence in your newfound skills.

If you’re unemployed and looking to get back into work, an online course could give you the motivation you need to succeed in your goals. By choosing to study an online course, you can study at your own pace whilst benefiting from high-quality teaching and support from our experienced teachers.

This qualification is primarily designed to prepare learners for further learning or training.

Cost

  • The distance learning courses are completely free for anyone aged 19 or over (on the 31st August 2023), irrespective of their current employment status, but applicants must not live in one of the locations listed here.

Please note, if you fail to reach the end of the course, you may be subject to a £50 admin fee.

  • Safeguarding of Children in Education Level 1
  • Understanding Anxiety in Education.

Entry requirements

There are no specific entry requirements, however learners should have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.

All applicants must live in England and NOT live in one of the locations listed here.

How long is the course?

There are 20 dedicated guided learning hours within this course. These hours are made up of online learning modules studied in your own time, at your own pace.

How will I be assessed?

The course is assessed by online tests, subject to external quality assurance. Where indicated in the unit specifications, assessment must meet the requirements of the identified pass grade (usually 80%).
