NCFE Pathway to Mixed Martial Arts - Level 3

Overview

Sports and martial arts have long been an integral part of the British Armed Forces, playing a key role in developing physical fitness, solidarity, and combat readiness. This course strives to uphold that tradition by introducing an exclusive programme that maintains the high values and standards associated with the military, whilst aligning with the military's principles of sport and physical education.

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world with competitors as young as 6 years old competing in organised and regulated bouts throughout the UK. The Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts are even looking to propose MMA as a sport for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles. MMA is a sport that blends various martial arts into one form, with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) and boxing being prominent components.

In addition, the Army, Navy, and RAF each boast dedicated martial arts teams that compete in a range of disciplines in both national and international events.
