What will I study?
Our experienced instructors will guide you through handling various emergency situations for adult casualties, including:
- Assessing an incident.
- Choking.
- CPR and defibrillation.
- Managing an unresponsive casualty.
- Minor injuries including, cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns and scalds.
- Recovery position.
- Seizures.
- Shock.
- The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider.
- Wounds and bleeding.
Entry requirements
- This course is only available to adults aged 19+.
- No formal qualifications are required to take this course.
How long is the course?
- One-day (9am-5pm).
- Includes a one-hour lunch break and two short 15 minute breaks.
How will I be assessed?
- Theory assessments (multiple choice question papers).
- Practical assessments.
