Decorative Occupations NVQ - Level 3

Overview

You will study a range of modules that will include erecting and dismantling platforms, planning and organising operations, decorative specialist finishes, applying paint by brush and roller and applying specialist wall hangings.

You will also be required to undertake functional skills in English and maths.

Entry requirements

Ideally you should have completed the NVQ Level 2 Award or a relevant NVQ Level 2.

How long is the course?

35 weeks.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is continual throughout the life of the course. You will also complete an external test as part of your overall assessment.

What does the course lead to?

On completion of the award you may improve your qualification to the equivalent NVQ Level 3 with work-based evidence. You could also progress to the AVCE (Advanced Vocational Certificate in Education) Built Environment course. Alternatively, you could gain employment as a professional painter and decorator.
