This six-month, part-time course is designed specifically for adults aged 19+ and offers a practical alternative to apprenticeships, allowing you to gain an equivalent qualification in much less time.

Costs

  • FREE for adults aged 19 or over (on 31 August 2024), employed earning less than £25,000 per year.

  • Meeting regulations, including Consumer Rights.
  • Treating customers as individuals.
  • Understanding roles and responsibilities in a customer service environment.
  • Understanding the organisation and its services.

One-day masterclasses

  • As part of your training, you'll attend monthly one-day masterclasses in college to dive deeper into key topics such as:
  • Customer Service Foundations.  
  • Regulations and Consumer Rights.  
  • Customer Demographics and Journey Mapping.  
  • Customer Loyalty, Retention, and Business Development.  
  • Social Media in Business.  
  • Managing Complaints and De-Escalation Strategies.  
     

Entry requirements

  • This course is only available for adults aged 19 and over (on 31 August 2024).

How long is the course?

  • Six months, part-time.
  • One day per month in college
  • Supported one-to-one visits in the work place, one day each month.

How will I be assessed?

  • A portfolio built to show your knowledge, skills and behaviours to meet the qualification requirements.
