Certificate in Women's Hairdressing - Adult Fast Track (Intermediate) - Level 2
Overview
This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a hairdresser/stylist including the mandatory units which include, working in the hair industry, health and safety, client consultation, shampoo and conditioning hair, cutting women's hair and the art of dressing hair.
Throughout this qualification you will develop your knowledge and understanding of health and safety, client consultation, products, tools and equipment.
You will also develop a range of technical skills enabling you to effectively consult with clients, shampoo and condition and cut and finish their hair.
You will also develop interpersonal skills, which will assist you to communicate effectively with clients.

All hair and beauty courses require the purchase of a specific kit and uniform. It is your responsibility to finance these purchases independently, as there is no funding currently available. What will I study?
Units of study include:
- Health and safety
- Working in the hair industry
- Client consultation for hair services
- Shampoo and condition the hair and scalp
- Cut women’s hair
- The art of dressing hair
- Colour and lighten.
Entry requirements
- A minimum of a Level 1 Functional Skills in English, or equivalent.

How long is the course?
1 Day per week (Monday) for 25 weeks
9.30am - 4.00pm (6 hours per day)
