Why choose health and social care at West Notts?

Work experience placements

Practical experience in this sector is essential. Our students will learn to understand the health needs of real people within a care setting, discovering first-hand how different illnesses and conditions require specialist care and attention.

Tutors with industry knowhow

Our health and social care tutors come with a wealth of skills and knowledge including previous work experience in health and care settings, and knowledge of first aid, fire safety, safeguarding children and COSHH – so they really know their stuff!

Study up to university-level

Courses in health and social care provide a rewarding experience. Once you’ve qualified and gained all the skills necessary, you can choose to study up to university-level at the college, and go on to careers in nursing, midwifery support and social work.
