As an engineering student, you’ll have access to our state-of-the-art 3D printers and collaborate with a team of like-minded individuals. Together, you’ll tackle challenging tasks, such as designing, prototyping, and machine-building tool parts that will be utilised by various departments across the college. As a testament to the impact of our students’ work, students recently created prototype £2 reward tokens, redeemable in the college canteen. Their innovative ideas were even presented to our executive team, who selected a winning design. So by joining an engineering course, you’ll not only develop technical expertise but also cultivate your problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Our facilities
Our new robotics and automation suite is second-to-none and is home to a range of robots from the UK’s number one robotics company: ABB. We’re the only college in the country with Emau robots. We are working in partnership with Italy-based robotics specialist, Comau. This equipment will be pre-loaded with learning lessons and outcomes to teach automation and robotics at various levels. We also work with the electrical controls specialist, PNE Controls, who are upgrading our HAS Automation assembly line, currently in OL114.
The centre also boasts a dedicated LRC and computer suites, hybrid workstations, 3D printers, and more.
