In this unit you will study how to draft financial statements of limited companies while following underlying accounting concepts and international financial reporting standards. You will also interpret the statements using financial ratios.

What will I study?
This unit provides you with the skills and knowledge for drafting the financial statements of single limited companies and consolidated financial statements for groups of companies. It ensures that you will have a proficient level of knowledge and understanding of international accounting standards, which will then be applied when drafting the financial statements. You will also have a sound appreciation of the regulatory and conceptual frameworks that underpin the preparation of limited company financial statements.
Entry requirements
You should hold an AAT Level 3 qualification in Accounts or a Degree in Accounting.
How long is the course?
10 weeks.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by an external exam on campus.
What does the course lead to?
Full membership of the AAT and entry for ACCA, ICAEW or CIMA qualifications upon completion of the full qualification.
