Barbering (Intermediate) - Level 2

Overview

The VTCT Level 2 Certificate in Barbering has been designed to develop barbering skills to a high level of occupational ability and will prepare you to enter the men's barbering sector.

You will develop knowledge, understanding and skills to enable you to advise and consult with men on how they can achieve their desired look as well as the type of hair cut and facial hair styling that would be most suitable for them. You will also learn how to work in a safe manner for both yourself and your clients.

Start dates and fees

All hair and beauty courses require the purchase of a specific kit and uniform.

Full-time students aged 19+ who qualify for a bursary can request that any support they are awarded, be used to purchase compulsory kit/uniform (as specified by the curriculum area) on their behalf. The cost of the kit/uniform will be deducted from their total bursary award and their monthly payments will be adjusted accordingly.

Students aged 16-18 in receipt of a bursary can have their compulsory kit/uniform purchased in addition to their termly bursary award.

Please be aware that the prices for the required kit and uniform will be determined in early 2024. To get an approximate understanding of previous pricing, please visit this link: Past kits.
