The college will remain CLOSED tomorrow (Friday 15 January 2021) due to adverse weather and the likelihood of ice.

Students due to attend the Derby Road campus tomorrow (specifically, those with an EHCP, disability, learning difficulty or other vulnerability, or children of key workers who have chosen to access the site) should log-on to Microsoft Teams for their timetabled online lessons. We will be back to normal on Monday (18 January 2021) for those students eligible to attend on site. College buses and special transport will operate as normal from Monday.

So how does this virtual open evening work?

Essentially, we want you to be able to get all of the same information and experiences that you would normally have at one of our on-site open days, here's how:

  • Start by browsing our engineering and transport skills courses online
  • If you're dead set on an engineering course then you can talk one-on-one with a tutor from that area. But if you're still not sure, or if you have more than one idea in mind, don’t worry! You can book to chat to tutors from each subject.
  • If you need any other advice or support with things like funding, childcare, travel, or even just want to know how to apply, our student support teams will be available to help.
