Cashier/Customer Service Assistant

Job description

We are looking for a Banking Cashier to work within our busy Yorkshire Building Society Agency. This position will initially be to cover maternity leave.

As this is a customer-facing role, the operation of a till will form the majority of your daily role. It is essential that you are able to carry out these duties, and handle money, in an accurate and professional manner.

You will be expected to comply with all the appropriate legislation and codes of practice.

Cash handling experience would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be given.

The successful candidate will be appointed subject to passing a credit bureau check and the usual vetting procedures of the Yorkshire Building Society.

Hours of work will be 10 a.m - 3 p.m Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and 9 a.m to 12 noon on a Saturday morning. Flexibility with working hours is a must as you would be expected to cover holidays and staff sickness.

Salary - negotiable depending on experience.
