Marketing & Media Assistant

Job description

This role is a voluntary position within a semi-professional football club. The role will involve working alongside the marketing and media lead, producing detailed match reports. You will be expected to attend the AFC Mansfield football matches to record the event of the game and write a detailed match report. These match reports are to be uploaded onto the club website, social media sites and distributed to the local media companies; such as the Chad. You will also be encouraged to update social media sites during matches with key points like goals and bookings. This volunteering can count towards the West Nottinghamshire College Volunteering & Leadership Academy hours (enquire for more details).


Roles & Responsibilities:

Attend AFC Mansfield football club matches and document the match details.

Produce detailed match reports, including statistics where possible.

Upload these reports onto social media and the club website.

Distribute these match reports to the local media sources.

Always be professional and punctual.


Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

No specific qualifications required.

You must have the ability to write in a clear, concise and appropriate manner.

Excellent communication skills.

Excellent organisational skills.

An ability to work under pressure, and to time scales.

The candidate must be hard-working and adaptable.

The candidate must be willing to learn and develop.

A car is desirable, but not essential.
