Work Placement: Euro Car Parts - Motor Vehicle

Job description

Euro Car Parts supply a vast range of competative car parts for all makes and models including car body parts, tools, car cleaning products, in-car tech, workshop essentials, lubricants and fluids, car lighting parts and much more from some of the biggest brands in the industry.

You will be paired up with an experienced Parts Technician:

  • Shadow/Observe
  • Experience order processing start to finish
  • Assist with picking parts from invoices/orders

This placement will be a roll-on-roll-off for 5-10 students January 2017 onwards.

How to apply

STEP 1: Speak to your tutor to gain permission to apply.

STEP 2: Email the Branch Manager - Paul Draycott Include the following:

  • Covering letter to include course/level and an why you are applying?

Once you have a confirmed work placement, Paul Draycott will contact you to agree a convenient day/time to meet with him to arrange start date etc.

Please note - Placements are open to all students at Vision West Nottinghamshire College, this may result into the placement being allocated; we do advise all students interested in the placement to speak with the employer in the first instance to check that the placement is still available.

Step 1 - Once you have a confirmed offer, in order to proceed with the work placement you will need to complete the work placement application form on Pro Portal, the form can be found under miscellaneous. (An accurate start and approximate end dates MUST be entered)

Step 2 - Your tutor will be asked to authorise your placement once you have fully completed your application form (remember to SAVE).

Step 3 - Once authorised, the work placement team will ensure the health and safety documentation for your placement is in place.

Step 4 - The work placement team will then send you, your tutor and the employer an email to confirm your work placement is ‘ Ready to Go’.

Step 5 – Collect a Progress Passport which you must complete on placement and ask your supervisor to sign off your hours and provide feedback on the last pages.

Step 6 – To check the status of your application, look at the note section at the bottom of your application form.

A parental consent form must also be signed and passed to your tutor before you go on placement.

We encourage you to secure your work placement as soon as possible. The deadline to have a placement agreed is Friday 8 Dec 2017.
