Work Placement - Kumon

Job description

This placement will involve observing and assisting the classroom assistant delivering maths and English to young children in after school class. The placement will involve reading with young children, recording details of the children’s work and assisting where appropriate. 

The placement is available:

Thursday evenings 16:00pm - 17:30pm 
Saturday mornings 9:30am - 11:00am

based within a local library environment. 

A DBS will be required for this placement, so please email Jane Hawksford when your placement has been confirmed.

Step 1 - Complete the work placement application form or the placement app (connect – placement manager).

Step 2 - We will check you meet the college's employability standards and then complete the Health and Safety Risk Assessment.

Step 3 - Once this check is approved we will send you, your progress tutor, and the employer an email to confirm your work placement is ‘ Ready to Go’. You MUST NOT START YOUR WORK PLACEMENT, until you have received the confirmation email.

We encourage you to secure your work placement as soon as possible. The deadline to have a placement agreed is 20th Dec 2019.

Please note - Placements are open to all students at Vision West Nottinghamshire College, this may result into the placement being allocated; the work placement team will be able to let you know if this placement has been fully allocated.
