Overview
The purpose of this course is to raise the awareness and understanding of all elements of environmental sustainability.
It is designed to level-up and create a common understanding of what is sustainability and how it can be achieved. This has been developed to support the race to NetZero and as an important step in an organisation or individuals sustainability journey.

This course is free for adults aged 19+.
What will I study?
- Introduction to sustainable development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's)
- Greenhouse gases and the greenhouse effect
- Understanding the impacts of humans on the planet
- Types of energy
- Understanding solar energy
- Understanding wind energy production
- Carbon footprints
- Reducing carbon footprints and the race to NetZero carbon
- Final assessment.
Entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements, however learners should have a minimum of Level 2 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
All applicants must live in England and NOT live in one of the locations listed here.
How long is the course?
20 hours studied over 3 months.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by online multiple choice assessment. The final assessment is made up of 30 multiple choice questions with a pass mark of 60%.
