APPLICATIONS

Due to the closure of college we are unable to accept paper applications for our courses. Applications can only be made online.

COLLEGE BUS SERVICE

Due to a reduction in students accessing college, bus services will be restricted on the days that the college is open (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday). The following services will continue to run – bus 10 (morning and evening), bus 4 (morning and evening), bus 12 (morning only including a pick-up at Farm Foods on Oak Tree Lane) and bus 8 (evening only including a drop-off at Farm Foods on Oak Tree Lane).

Special transport will continue to operate. Any student who has been allowed to access college and needs to access a different bus service please contact us on 0800 100 3626 or enquiries@wnc.ac.uk.

Pre-Access to University - Level 2

Overview

The Pre-Access course will provide an opportunity for developing studying, academic skills and confidence.

If you successfully complete this course, you'll gain a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification which then enables you to apply for the Access to University diploma.

Entry requirements

Complete a short diagnostic assessment in English and /or maths, depending on which GCSEs you require.

One morning per week over one year.

Assessment is done in a variety of ways including presentations, research reports and portfolios.

It is anticipated that you will study GCSE English and/or GCSE maths alongside the course, if you do not already possess a grade C/4 in these subjects.
