Overview

The purpose of this course is to introduce the theory, concepts and the science behind heat source pumps, including air-to-air, air-to-water and ground source heat pumps. It covers their workings, installation and how green funding can be accessed to accelerate their deployment.

This course is suitable for learners with a interest in sustainable technologies and those who wish to develop the skills necessary for a career in this industry (including those learners studying engineering, plumbing, construction and multi-skills).

  • Recommended: Minimum Level 2 in English and Maths (or equivalent)  
  • Applicants must live in England

Total time to complete - 30 hours over 3 months

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed by online multiple choice assessment. The final assessment is made up of two multiple choice tests with a pass rate of 60%.
