Certificate in Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties (FREE Distance Learning Course) - Level 2
Overview
The purpose of this qualification is to develop learner’s knowledge and understanding of a range of Specific Learning Difficulties, how they are diagnosed and how individuals can be supported.
Entry requirements
There are no specific entry requirements, however learners should have a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
This qualification is suitable for learners of 16 years of age and above.

This course is currently free if you are enrolled by Wednesday 31 March 2021.
How long is the course?
Total time to achieve this qualification is 135 hours.
Guided Learning hours with a tutor make up 108 of this time, with a further 27 hours for leaners to complete aspects of their assessment portfolio in their own time.
How will I be assessed?
The qualification is assessed by internally set and marked assessments subject to external quality assurance.
All learning outcomes and assessment criteria must be met to achieve a Pass – there is no grading.

- Living with a specific learning difficulty
- Signs, symptoms and diagnosis of Specific Learning Difficulties
- Sources of information, support, legislation and guidance relevant to Specific Learning Difficulties
