As a construction and building services student you’ll have the opportunity to be part of a team of students across different curriculum areas, working together to renovate and improve our college buildings and create bespoke products. Our carpentry and joinery students recently transformed two old pianos into a stylish coat rail and boot store, and a hand-crafted drinks cabinet — all with their own unique flair and creativity.

Our the years, we have continued to heavily invest in our impressive construction centre; providing dedicated practical and interactive learning spaces for each trade.

Spreading across multiple floors, our painting and decorating area has been designed to provide students with life-like facilities and the ability to practice techniques on practice rooms.

In our open-plan brickwork and carpentry and joinery areas, students have the freedom to master their skills in their own dedicated zones. With access to a wide range of tools and materials, you will have everything you need.

Our electrical and plumbing facilities are also set up to recreate reallife situations and provide access to different appliances, tools and materials which you will work with in the future.

With future plans in place for a new additional site, the learning opportunities are endless.
